Amanda Giles, Chiropractic Physician

Dr. Amanda Giles was born and raised in North Georgia. She grew up on a farm with her
brother, parents and grandparents. At the age of 2, Dr. Amanda decided that she wanted to
be a Doctor. It became a lifelong dream of hers. Her Dad was a pastor and moved her family
outside of Athens, Georgia halfway through her freshman year of high school. At that time, Dr.
Amanda was taking classes at Forsyth Central in Cumming, Georgia that followed a pre-med
track in high school. When she moved, she thought that her dreams of becoming a doctor was
going up in smoke. She began the process of really concentrating on her dreams of going to
college by doing joint enrollment her senior year. She applied herself full time in college while finishing high school and graduated in the top 10% of her class.

Dr. Amanda continued her college education at Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Georgia where she also cheered. After her first year at Emmanuel, Dr. Amanda decided to move to Tulsa, OK for continuing education. She decided that was not the route the she wanted to go and moved back home on Thanksgiving weekend. That weekend became a huge deal because that is when she met her husband, Kris.

Kris and Dr. Amanda was married a few months later. They are celebrating their 18th wedding anniversary this year. They have three amazing, great looking kids, Makaya, Eli, and Isaac. Kris and their kids were very supportive in Dr. Amanda going to school to become a Chiropractor. Dr. Amanda became interested in chiropractic when her husband, Kris, started experiencing severe headaches. These severe headaches were coming from mini strokes that he was having. Kris went to his brother, Dr. Doug, who was a chiropractor. Within three weeks, Kris stopped experiencing headaches. Dr. Amanda started chiropractic care and realized that this was what she wanted to do with her life. It was her dream coming true.

Dr. Amanda graduated from Life University in June 2010. She served as an ambassador and tutor at Life. She was also the GCA student President and a founder of a chiropractic sorority for women. She also earned one of the top awards at Life, The Clinic Excellence Award. Dr. Amanda loved her time at Life. In November of that same year, she opened her own practice TruLife Chiropractic. After practicing for 4 years in Georgia, Dr. Amanda decided to close her practice and move to Ohio where her and her family joined us.
